Pulmonary Function Test
The most common pulmonary function tests are spirometry and total lung capacity. Spirometry measures how much and how quickly air can be exhaled from the lungs. Total lung capacity measures the total amount of air a person’s lungs can hold.
Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy is a procedure to look directly at the airways in the lungs through a thin, lighted tube (bronchoscope).
Medical Thoracoscopy
Medical thoracoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows access to the pleural space using a combination of viewing and working instruments. It also allows for basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to be performed safely.
Sputum Test
Sputum Test for two days
Thoracentesis
Thoracentesis is a procedure to remove fluid or air from around the lungs.
EBUS
Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy (EBUS) Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) is a minimally invasive but highly effective procedure used to diagnose lung cancer, infections, and other diseases causing enlarged lymph nodes in the chest.
Sleep Study
The stages of sleep range from light to deep. Each stage has characteristics that can be measured. A sleep study is a number of tests done at the same time during sleep. The tests measure specific sleep characteristics and help to diagnose sleep disorders. A sleep study may also be called polysomnogram.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
It may benefit patients with lung diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sarcoidosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and cystic fibrosis, among others. Although the process is focused on the rehabilitation of the patient him/herself, the family is also involved.
Non invasive ventilation Bipap
Noninvasive ventilation (NIV) can be defined as a ventilation modality that supports breathing without the need for intubation or surgical airway. Noninvasive ventilation (see the video below) is a popular method of adult respiratory management in both the emergency department and the intensive care unit (ICU).
